Star Wars according to Jayna

Tonight we have had more fun laughing at the character names Jayna has for the Star Wars characters. Only a 3-year old would have these GREAT character names!!

The names on the left are the correct names....the names to the right of them are Jayna's characters.

Han Solo is Han David
Darth Vader is DAR Vader
Luke Skywalker is Lu Skybakker
Princess Leia is Pincess Weuh
Yoda is...well...Yoda (of course!)
C3PO is CPO
R2D2 is RDT2

Well, ladies and gentlemen...you can probably guess that Star Wars will probably be one of her favorite movies (against her mother's wishes) and will something she and her Daddy can grow up watching together.

Jayna turned 3 and all's well...

Today was the official start of the life of a 3-year old, and man, it has been GREAT!

Jayna started off at Mother's Day Out today with a cupcake party at the end (decorated with Dora the Explorer of course!) and she had a GREAT day! Her teachers marvel at how well she does!!

She went to her computer class provided by Tech-Kidz and they taught her how to use a mouse, and she did very well. As you can see, she made a booklet of a story that she put together. They choose how the story goes by clicking on different photos on the screen. Her teacher says that Jayna knows more than most of the kids and knows how to use the computer very well. Well...what do you expect?!?! Her father only has 4 in the house!!

Jayna also made a cute hat that says, "GOD MADE ME. I AM SPECIAL TO HIM." Then, it has her name on it. She was so proud of her new hat!!

Then, we came home from "school" for her to ride her new "motorcycle" and she had her first fall in which she curled up on the floor and didn't want to ride again until Mommy helped her and took her on the race track around the house. It was SO fun!

Today was a great day. Now, if we can potty train and rid her of the "tassy" then we'll be GREAT!!

Love to all,

Jayna is 3 today

Today Jayna turns 3 and her big surprise from Mommy & Daddy was her BRAND NEW RED TRICYCLE! She was SO excited to get it that she road it hard until 2:45 today and then crashed and burned for a good nap!

She calls it her motorcycle and tell us that it goes, "ROOM ROOM!"

Hello everyone!
We are absolutely THRILLED that she loves it as much as she does because when we went shopping for it, she threw a fit and screamed and cried because she thought it would make the sound of a REAL motorcycle and scare her. Well, she was wrong! She LOVES it and can't wait to put some mileage on it! Now, if we can just keep her from running over her sister, that would be GREAT!!

I'm sending a few pictures now...but I'm sure there will be more to come this weekend at her party!!

A Birthday Surprise!

Well, I knew this day would come...just not this soon! My firstborn, Jayna Suzanne, turned 3! In fact, at 3:21 p..m. today, she turned 3.

Jayna got her first tri-cycle and put it to the test. She's getting ready for her first NASCAR race in which we have to say, "WATCH OUT DANIKA PATRICK!!" She rode around the house today and crashed and burned for a good 2 hour nap earlier this afternoon. She's ready to go again!!

We'll post more after her birthday party this weekend! Should be FUN!

Break Dancing

I wish I had my camera ready when this happened...

Yesterday morning, before I took Jayna to Mother's Day Out, she was watching one of her favorite shows, "The Doodlebops" when one of the characters, Moe, had a solo at their concert (their pop stars) and he did some Break Dancing. Jayna LOVES the Doodlebops!! When Moe started break dancing, she ran to the middle of the floor, dropped down and laid on her back and started using her feet to spin herself around in circles (a typical break dancing move). It was HILARIOUS!

She's quite talented ya know...

Ride a little horsey, go to town!

Look out little girl!
Don't fall down!!

Jayna still remains the comic relief in our family (besides her Daddy). She's really got her daddy wrapped!! As you can tell, he'll do anything for her!!

In just 14 days, she'll be 3!

Once Upon A Time...

I love posting funny Jayna stories mainly because those of you with children her age or older can identify with how hilarious children can be, and because those of you who don't have children yet, or have children under the age of 2 will have something to look forward to in reading my blogs.

Jayna has proclaimed herself as a "Princess" ... probably because she loves Star Wars and loves Princess Leia, or maybe because she thinks her Mommy is a princess (don't laugh Dad!!) because of my wedding portrait makes me look like a princess. So, in being a Princess, there comes some responsiblities ... like ... playing dress up and making up fairy tale stories.

Well, Jayna does both, but more importantly, her stories always start like this ...

(holding a book open)

"Once upon a time there was a good story in a good story ... the end."

And that, ladies and gentlemen, is Jayna's story...

That's my kind of story...short and sweet!!

Dave...A Dallas Cowboy????

Tonight Jayna asked why her Daddy didn't come home from work to see her and I had to explain to her that he went to a Dallas Cowboys Pre-Season game and wouldn't be back until late tonight. She kept asking, "Where'd Daddy go?" so I put on Channel 11 so she could see that there was a football game on and show her that her Daddy was at the game.

What's so funny is...when I put it on the game, there was a Dallas Cowboy, #32 (a black player named Thomas...I think) and she immediately exclaimed, "D A D D Y!!!! Mommy! There's Daddy!!!" I laughed so hard...then told her, "Uh....NO...that's NOT Daddy, Jayna. That's a football player...NOT your Daddy!"

With every player that showed on the screen, it was the same proclamation...over and over. Then, when the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders came on, she told me, "Mommy, see all the Princesses?" ... Uh....YEA RIGHT!!!

Out of the mouths of babes....
